The cake is one of the most important centerpieces o a wedding reception...everyone knows that;)...but the cake can also be a great focal point for just about any other type of event. That does not, however, mean that you have to spend a fortune on it. Asking the local bakery to make a plain cake (or in this case two plain tiers) and decorating it yourself can save you a lot of money while still allowing you to have that "Pinterest-perfect" design.
